How It All Started

In November 2021, after more than 45 years invested with top players in the Telecom Industry, I decided to become a standalone organization to package and bundle all my skills and help companies to take the most out of Telecommunications to improve their business and make their life easier.

Educronix is an evolving organization adding skills, new learnings, and solutions to our portfolio everyday and making it available to whoever needs it.

Educronix is a name created in 1980, with the purpose of making PC based tools and technologies available to anyone who had access to a PC. At that time, no one could have imagined that a PC on a desktop would one day replace functions and operations only imaginable with large computers, data centers and complexities reserved only for an elite group. Educronix was a pioneer teaching how to use tools such as dBase, Clipper, Wordstar, SuperCalc, Lotus123, email, Word, Excel, etc...

in 1983, Educronix was the main contractor to develop and deploy the IT infrastructure for the Pan-American Games in Venezuela.

It was also hired to translate Aston Tate's dBase data base software, for Spanish speaking markets, including the development of all training packages and documentation.

In 1989 Educronix went into hibernation to allow me to evolve in the business world of telecommunications. Here I had the opportunity to take part in different roles in the market, including in the financial market leading the adoption of technology in a Bank of Electronic Banking platforms, Office Automation and local networks, expert credit systems, among other things. From there, as Vice President of Engineering of a networking solutions integration company where, in addition to other projects, I had the opportunity to win the tender to implement the most ambitious network interconnection project in the oil industry, having to design and implement the fiber ring. multivendor of the second largest refinery in Latin America. Later being part of the Telecommunications service provider side with Incumbent Carrier as well as Broadband Cable TV. The last years before reviving Educronix in 2021, were involved playing roles in sales and engineering in the Technology Vendor side.

INGATE SYSTEMS INC. - GLOBAL PRE-SALES SUPPORT DIRECTOR

May 2017 - November 2021

  • Provide the highest level of expertise in complex Telecommunications Projects.

  • Lead and Support Customer Certifications for all Ingate’s Product Portfolio

  • Lead and execute Proof of Concept Deployments for IPPBX platforms from vendors such as Shoretel Connect, Tadiran AEONIX, NEC 3C Univerge, FreePBX, PBXact, MS Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams in conjunction with Ingate SBC, Standalone and Cloud in platforms such as AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.

  • Build and proof concept Atlassian platform to manage Wiki Content, Documentation and Blogs.

  • Develop and execute technical Training, online and hands on

  • Build Training programs for key accounts, Distributors and Service providers to learn and adopt Ingate’s unique values for Session Border Controllers, and UC related technologies.

  • Design, build, deploy and deliver On-line hands-on training program for Ingate’s SBC Certification courses fully deployed in AWS as a response to pandemic times

  • Automation commissioning and orchestration in AWS using Red-Hat Ansible-Tower. As of today, about 80 people has attended and certified using such infrastructure.

  • Build test Lab with AWS to certify Ingate’s SBC products in the Cloud

  • Build test Lab with Azure to certify Ingate’s SBC products in the Cloud

  • Lead special development projects including customized solutions for Call Center use cases (Bye-to-REFER hack to reduce outsourced IVR call referrals, WebRTC Client integration with Genesys Agent Console, DONOTCALL real-time validation, etc…)

  • Certification and deployment of Ingate’s SIParator SBC as a Marketplace offering in AWS.

  • Build, Develop and Maintain Full Lab resources hosted at AWS

  • Benchmark testing of Ingate SBC’s in AWS for different size and specs for VM Instances.

  • PoC Lab build and lead engineer for Mitel 6900’s series Teleworkers. Participated in SOW construction, reverse engineering platform and development specs. Included building specs for http connect support on Ingate to enable tunneling for CAS services with 6900’s endpoints. 

  • Teams Ingate Interop and Integration including documentation.

  • Call2Teams integration using Ingate with Mitel either with Direct Mitel Registrar or Mitel Tie Trunks.

SANGOMA TECHNOLOGIES - PRESALES SENIOR ENGINEERING DIRECTOR

March 2014 - May 2017

  • Provide the highest level of expertise in complex Telecommunications Projects.

  • Lead and Support Customer Certifications for all Sangoma’s Product Portfolio

  • Lead and execute Proof of Concept Deployments

  • Serve as Senior Consultant of Large Professional Services Projects

  • Develop and maintain knowledgebase  and wiki content for Gateways and Session Border Controllers product families.

  • Develop and execute technical Training, online and hands on

  • Build Training programs for key accounts, Distributors and Service providers to learn and adopt Sangoma’s unique values for Media gateways, Session Border Controllers, and UC related technologies.

  • Obtain participation in large exposure projects to set the bases for realizable and credible brand.

  • Build test Lab with AWS to certify Sangoma’s SBC products in the Cloud

  • Build, Develop and Maintain Full Lab resources hosted at AWS

  • Lead and recruit former Elastix Channels.

SANGOMA TECHNOLOGIES - REGIONAL SALES DIRECTOR LATIN AMERICA, CARIBBEAN AND IBERIA.

January 2012 - March 2014

  • Take Ownership of Sangoma’s Business operations and development in Latin America, The Caribbean and Iberia (Spain + Portugal) 

  • Review and Refresh existing Distribution Channel

  • Increase sales from 1.4 to 2 Million Dollars first year

  • Recruit New Business Partners in the region with special focus in the new Converged solutions,

  • Build Training programs for key accounts, Distributors and Service providers to learn and adopt Sangoma’s unique values for Media gateways, Session Border Controllers, and UC related technologies.

PATTON ELECTRONICS - REGIONAL DIRECTOR LATIN AMERICA AND CARIBBEAN

2009 - 2012

  • Review and Refresh existing Distribution Channel

  • Recruit New Business Partners in the region with special focus in the new Converged solutions,

  • Develop Marketing programs to increase brand awareness and position Patton as a valid Player in the VoIP market place.

  • Obtain participation in large exposure projects to set the bases for realizable and credible brand.

BINNACLE TECHNOLOGIES - PARTNER AND GENERAL MANAGER

2005 - 2009

  • Establish a Channel program and Recruited a set of valuable resellers and Business Partners in Latin America

  • Grow Sales up to 1.5 million Dollars by 2008.

  • Established VAD agreements with selected Vendors.

  • Established a strong set of relationships in the Telco/Carrier Market in the region.

  • Developed an Innovative  Financing Program for New Entrant Operators and Service providers, in alliance with a Large International Long Distance Carrier in California.

  • Created Marketing Tools to support the Channel Development Strategy.

3COM CORPORATION - CALA VOICE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

2002 - 2005

  • Developed and recruited a group of about 40 Distribution Channels in all Latin America and The Caribbean.

  • Deployed and acted as the expert matter on a Powerful Sales Tool called “The ROI Analyst”. With this tool we were able to reduce the sales cycle dramatically and allowed of to make a higher level sales.

  • Grow Sales from US$ 0.8 M to US$ 3 M.

  • Created Demand Generation Marketing programs
